Kalmadi stays away from Olympics, it’s final;

(Only undetected corrupt fellows will be allowed)

Explains the honorable High Court, it isn’t penal.

This decision is preventive, as bestowed.

In Gujarat too they’re clearing the air.

No, no, not on any riot or the other,

Again it’s the High Court that rules, brother,

Ordering government: have only gas-cars in a year.

And Congress with NCP strikes a truce,

That only means, for now it’s deuce,

This solution they found I think was nutty,

That together they’ll have one more committee!

So all in all today it was about cleaning the air

Till the notorious loo of India blows in, it’s fair.

Oh judges actually went a big step further.

In their desire to enforce ‘equality’ they said.

Asked Union Government: give Ahmedabad altogether,

The same deal that Delhi and Mumbai get.

This was on natural gas for domestic and vehicular;

The Judiciary does more than judging from bystands.

Why not? When legislators take the law in their hands,

It’s time for Judiciary to turn sternly avuncular.

That leaves just the bureaucrat to fend for himself.

Now this guy’s no giant, but nor is he an elf.

But he is the guy who must dutifully follow,

The law of the land, and before ministers, wallow.

Little wonder he’s chosen the cheeky middle path,

Bal_s to administration, hail moneymaking, hell with the

Madanlal Sharma is a new name we learned.

He is former speaker Maharashtra assembly,

And also Ashok Chavan’s relative who earned,

An illegal allotment in Adarsh society.

Under the rules of the allotment game,

Only those with no other house in good ‘ol Bombay

Were allowed to apply to this tower by the bay.

He simply lied, and the allotment came.

What’s more he even forged a rent receipt,

(But I wonder what now makes him tweet?)

Plus even the money was paid by someone else!

Isn’t it fascinating, how cheaply expensive real estate sells.

But can you hear our middle class’s groans,

Buying back-of-beyond pigeonholes on astronomical loans.

Those reading Nirbhaya’s India for the first time would do well to read the ‘Foreword’ and ‘Nirbhaya’s December’ especially ‘She hands over the baton’.
